Prayer for Peace
Heavenly Father, thank you for the peace we receive when we place our faith and trust in you. Help me release anything I am holding onto that is stealing my peace, and allow me to step fully into the person you created me to be. True peace is found in your word.
God’s Word
But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (Titus 3:4-7)
People… THIS is the Gospel (good news)!
My whole life I grew up thinking that I needed to earn God’s love.
It wasn’t until I got saved in July of 2022 that I understood the true Gospel.
The Son of God (Jesus) was sent to rest down from heaven in human form,
lived a perfect life,
and was crucified on a cross so that our sins would be forgiven (1 Corinthians 15:1-8; Luke 24:45-49).
He rose from the dead three days later before ascending to the right hand of the Father so that we can receive the FREE gift of Salvation and eternal life in Heaven.
All we have to do is repent from sin, ask God for mercy, and place our faith and trust in Jesus.
It’s that simple.
We don’t have to earn God’s love.
When we receive Salvation, we are set free from the sins we have committed in the past and our new life begins with the birth of the spirit that now lives within us.
I wish someone would have told me this sooner.
For a big chunk of my life, I have been a people-pleaser. I’ve cared way too much about what people think of me and trying to earn the approval of others.
The only one we should be seeking to please is the Lord.
The Scriptures say “There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?” (James 4:12)
The judge with the highest authority is God.
We should do our best to live Godly lives, obey His commands, and share the Gospel with others to advance His Kingdom.
I don’t know about you, but I want to make Heaven crowded.
It’s hard to put into words how truly incredible it is to live a life walking with Jesus.
I received salvation in July of 2022, and my life hasn’t been the same since.
God wants us all to have eternal life with Him, but we have to choose Him.
Here is a great video from John Piper on the Gospel if you want to learn more.
Health and Wellness Tip
Healing knee pain with… breathing?
For the past few months, I have been dealing with a nagging injury on the lateral part of my right knee.
I have tried just about everything you could imagine:
Deep tissue work
Dry needling
Chiropractic work
Cupping therapy
Foam rolling
Ice baths
Sauna
You name it, I did it.
Finally, I said enough is enough, and sought help.
My friend Gunther Klaus is a master of biomechanics and after doing a movement assessment with me explained that the reason I am feeling pain in my knee is because other areas of the body aren’t in proper alignment or functioning the way they should be which is irritating the knee.
Now I spend 5-10 minutes in the morning, before my workout, and in the evening doing breathing exercises such as the 90/90 hip lift.
So many of us (myself included) spend the majority of our time at a desk which gets our bodies stuck in these unnatural positions which leads to chronic pain.
Knee, hip, back, shoulder, and neck pain (to name a few) may be because you’re out of alignment.
Start with the 90/90 hip lifts 2×5 breaths 1-2 times per day for a week and I’m confident you’ll start to notice a difference.
Conor Harris is a pioneer in this space and has a ton of resources on restoring proper posture to get the body moving the way it is meant to.
Pursuing Purpose
“However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God's grace.”
Acts 20:24
Have you ever wondered “What’s my purpose?”
It’s become a buzzword in society today, and personally, it gave me feelings of anxiety because I didn’t have a good answer.
I tied my purpose with the identity of being an athlete, an entrepreneur, a podcaster, etc.
Even though I thought those things were part of my purpose, I never seemed to be able to feel fulfilled.
It wasn’t until I got saved and gave my life to Jesus that I realized I had a God-sized hole in my being that only His Spirit could fill.
This verse is one that I remind myself of every day.
I am just a vessel being used by God to share the Gospel and grow His Kingdom.
That is my purpose. Nothing else really matters.
We can’t take our money, status, or achievements with us when we die, so why would I spend so much time pursuing them?
Matthew 6:33 says “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
If you’ve been anxious about your purpose in life, remember that our collective purpose is to have a relationship with Jesus and share the good news of salvation.
We have all been given unique gifts that we can use for the good of others, but above all else, we are called to seek Him.
The Key to Building Healthy Habits
If you change your habits, you can change your life.
The one habit that has had the biggest impact on my life over the past 18 months is reading the Bible daily.
I used to fall into the personal development trap thinking I had to have a 37-step morning routine before starting my day.
There was nothing that I stuck to consistently, and I would beat myself up if I didn’t get everything I put on my morning routine list done.
I started following plans from the YouVersion Bible app which is a great place to start if you’re new to reading scripture.
From there I started reading Books of the Gospel (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) and then finally decided to read the Bible in a year (I’m on day 193).
Our team has built an app called SquadUp which brings a fun, unique, and effective methodology to help you build new habits that could change your life.
You partner with a friend, choose a habit you both want to build and prove you did it by sending a photo in the app.
Reach your health goals with your friends. Rack-up points toward your Squad score when you both log on the same day. Reach 24 points and you've built your new habit!
With a $24 one-time purchase (50% off with code Habit50) you get the SquadUp app- the app helps you build a new habit together with a best friend, The AI Habit Assistant to choose and design the right habit for you, based on your true goals, and the Education Suite!

Closing Prayer
Lord, I pray that each person reading this will accept the free gift of salvation by giving their life over to you and laying down their burdens at your feet. You sent your only Son to free us of our sins and give us the chance to choose everlasting life with You. Help us walk by faith, not by sight, and be vessels for You. We love you, we thank you, we praise you.
Go out and advance the Kingdom.
Much love,
Dom
